How easy is the
arcade to setup?
Just plug it in and start enjoying your favorite game. The
arcade takes about 20 seconds to load into our custom menu.
Do the games play
just like the originals?
Yes, the titles are emulated, which allows them to play just
like you remember. For example if you used a pattern to avoid the ghost
in Pac-man it will still work on your Dreamcade.
Can you pre-install
my favorite game?
We can only install games listed on the product page, as we do
not have license to additional titles. You can add additional games to
your arcade once it arrives.
What happens if the
games stop working?
In the unlikely event you have a problem with your arcade
games, there is a back-up partition you can use to restore the arcade to
it's original setting. It is easy to do, but if you have trouble with
this we are always available to assist.
What are the

How easy is the software to setup?
The software we include is very easy to setup. You can even
run it straight from the CD-rom. If you have any difficulties you
can always contact us for help.
How do I setup MAME32?
MAME32 is very easy to setup. You can usually just install and run it. At a minimum all you need to do
is tell the software where
your ROMS are located. Make sure your ROM's come from a legal
source. Of course, there are also lots of options
to configure the software and the games, which we can help you
with.
How do I add more games?
You can buy ROM's from companies such as StarRoms.com to use with
MAME32. There are also other emulated and ported collections of games available
that work great with our arcades.
What if I can’t
set it up myself?
We have never had a customer that we have not been able to help setup
their system or kit. In fact 95% of most questions can be solved
over e-mail. If you still have trouble after e-mailing our support
we will give you a case# and instructions for calling support so
we can walk you through setting everything up.
What comes on your free software disk?
The software disk includes various program and utilities, including the Ultimarc configuration
program as well as documentation and help files. Also, most of our
systems include free licensed arcade games.
What are the measurements of the arcade table?
24 inches (L) by 20 inches (W) by 29 inches (H).
What are the measurements
of the arcade table’s tabletop?
The side-to-side tabletop measures 28 inches (L) by 23 1/4 inches
(W).
The head-to-head tabletop measures 34 inches (L) by 22 inches (W).
What size monitor does the cocktail table fit?
Before you buy make sure your monitor will fit inside the system. The
interior measurements are: 22 1/2 inches (L) by 18 1/2 inches (W).
This fits 17, 19, most 20 and some 21 inch monitors. The table
features an adjustable shelf system to fit most monitor depths.
What size computer does the cocktail table fit?
The cocktail cabinet fits most mini-tower systems. Generally the
case should be 18 inches tall and 20 inches deep (or smaller) to fit properly inside the cabinet. The case will need to be placed
on its side.
What is the inside measurements of the cocktail table?
The inside of the table measures 22 1/2 inches (L) by 18 1/2 inches
(W) by 28 1/4 inches (H).
How does is the monitor held into place in the cocktail table kit?
Because every monitor is a different size we cannot provide a universal
monitor mount. However, our shelf system can adjust to the height
of your monitor. If your monitor has a flat back it should stay
in place as long as the table isn’t shaken.
Can I use a real arcade monitor?
Yes, the system fits a Wells Gardner 19 inch arcade monitor. You
can mount it using a 2x6. We can provide you directions on how
to mount this monitor.
Can I get the table without the side art?
The side art can be taken off the table at any time. It is made out
of PVC and so it will come off without tearing.
Can you customize my cocktail table?
Our tables are all built to the same specifications. However, we
can do some customization work. Please e-mail us with your request
and we’ll let you know if we can do it and what the cost
will be.
If I have trouble after my purchase
how do I get help?
Simply e-mail: support@dreamarcades.com. We provide e-mail support
7 days a week. We return support questions within 24 hours, most
in a few hours. If we cannot fix your problem via e-mail we will
give you a case# and details for calling customer support. To keep
costs down, phone support is only available after e-mail resolution
has been attempted.
What if I can’t

Do I need my keyboard to use the table?
No, you can use the control panel to select, play and exit games.
You will only need the keyboard to add more games and make configuration
changes.
Can I customize the keyboard layout?
Yes, we use the fully programmable Ultimarc mini-pac in all our tables.
This controller is fully programmable via the included utility.

use it we can help
you setup MAME to play your favorite classic games. The software
included with each of our tables is designed to be easy to setup
and use.
Are MAME ROM’s
legal and where can I find them?
Just like Mp3’s not all ROM files are be legal to download. Dream Arcades cannot provide legal advice on ROM
copyright issues, please do not ask. You can be rest assured that all the game
ROMs
we sell with our tables are legal and licensed.
There are many other sources for classic arcade games, such as
Midway Arcade Treasures, Capcom Coin-op collection, & Atari Anniversary
Edition. If you are having trouble finding arcade game collections just
e-mail us.
What are MAME ROMS?
Arcade games for MAME are commonly called ROMS. ROMS actually
contain the data downloaded from the original arcade. Because of
this they play just like the original arcade games.
Do MAME ROMS play just like the original arcade games?
With very few exceptions MAME ROMS play exactly like the original
arcade games. You can successfully use the same strategy on Centipede
you did as a kid, or the same strategy to beat other games.
Can I play non-MAME games on my Arcade?
Yes, you can play most arcade style games on your arcade system.
Some games like The Sims require a mouse and even with the trackball
add-on don’t play well on the arcade. There are many other
sources for classic arcade games, such as; Midway Arcade Treasures,
Capcom Coin-op collection, & Atari anniversary edition. If you are
having trouble finding arcade game collections just e-mail us.
Can I customize the computer system when I order the complete arcade?
Yes, for an additional fee we can customize your computer anyway
you wish. This usually adds one additional week in order to set up
and ship your arcade.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we can. However, shipping costs to foreign countries start at
$200.
This makes international shipping impractical. Also, we cannot
be held responsible for shipping damage on international orders.
The customer must assume all liability for damage on international
orders. We have shipped our tables as far as Japan without any damage.
Why don’t you
ship to Canada?
Yes, we do ship to Canada. Unfortunately, US shipping companies such as
DHL or UPS
charge $200 or more to ship to Canada. Because of this we don’t normally
ship to Canada. However, you can email us for a custom
shipping quote and we would be happy to provide you with a custom
shipping quote.
How long will it take to get my table?
We try to keep each of our arcades in stock. Most tables ship within
5-10 business days from when the order is received. If we are experiencing
a high number of orders it sometimes takes 15 or more business days to ship
a table. If we are out of stock it typically takes several weeks to ship,
however, this is rare. Shipment of arcade tables usually take an additional
2 to 5 days to
reach their destination depending on your location.
What if my table gets damaged during shipment?
Each table is shipped in a double wall cardboard box with an inch
and a half of padding. We ship the control panel in a separate
box. Our packing insures that the table can withstand most abuse
encountered during shipment. All tables are fully insured, so in
the unlikely event that your table is damaged we will handle the
claim. The customer may be required arrange a time to have an inspector
come to look at the damage. After that, we’ll handle everything
and ship you a replacement table or parts.
Can I order a coin door with my arcade system or kit?
Currently we do not offer a coin door add-on for our tables. However,
we have had a few customers add coin doors after purchase.
How does the trackball add-on mount on the control panel?
The trackball mounts to the bottom of the arcade’s control
panel using four bolts. It can easily be removed.
How do I connect the trackball?
The trackball plugs into the system’s mouse port.
How does the trackball add-on work?
The trackball add-on works just like the computer’s mouse.
You can use it for playing MAME games, or regular PC games.
Do I need to configure the software to use the trackball?
In MAME32 you just select one box to enable the mouse. There’s
no configuration required.
Does the trackball work on the head-to-head table?
Yes, the trackball mounts to the player 1 control panel.
